- Private member club founded in 1964; course opened in 1966.
- Original designer: Willard C. Byrd.
- Historic tournament pedigree: hosted the Atlanta Classic for roughly 30 years and the inaugural Tournament Players Championship in 1974, won by Jack Nicklaus.
- Also hosted USGA Senior Amateur and U.S. Women’s Amateur events.
