Avalon looks like a course where the day depends heavily on when you book it. Fifty-five bucks on Monday or Tuesday is a much easier sell than an $85 weekend round, especially with an 82-mile drive attached. The elevation and a less-common Zoysia putting surface give it enough identity to be more than just another Knoxville-area stop. This is a solid “we’re already building an East Tennessee golf day” course and a better standalone value on the cheaper weekdays. The forced-cart rule matters for walkers, and the foursome should pick tees with the hills in mind.
