High Hampton Golf Course

• High Hampton's course is an 18-hole, par-71 mountain layout reimagined by Tom Fazio after a major renovation. The current official card runs from 4,862 to 6,903 yards; the site's broader “4,500 to nearly 7,000” description should not replace the displayed card totals.
• The course uses bentgrass from tees through greens and has five tee sets.
• Golf is operated through High Hampton's residential membership club. Tee times are available to club members and registered Inn guests at select times through the Inn concierge.
• The 2026 course season runs April 24 through November 30, with a September 8–12 aerification closure. The driving range is open year-round.
• The official 2026 Inn-guest rates are $275 in shoulder periods, $315 from May 23–September 7, and $150 in specified late-season windows. Verify these date-sensitive rates when booking.
• The Range House includes a dual-sided range, putting green, short-game area, golf shop and casual food and drinks. GPS/Bluetooth carts are optional; rentals are listed at $80 per set.

• Golf.com's current profile shows a demanding 73.4/140 card at 6,900 yards.
• Public golfer-review volume is limited by access. One detailed architecture review rated the reworked course 4.5/5 and called the back stretch particularly strong. Useful signal, but not broad consensus.

High Hampton is an actual golf-trip decision, not a casual “we're already nearby” round. The Inn-guest rate can hit $315, so the boys should want the full thing: a Fazio mountain course, proper practice setup, lunch afterward and enough time to enjoy the place instead of sprinting back to Dalton.

On paper, the course has a good mix—five par 3s, a few gettable par 4s and a finishing stretch framed by the mountains. The 140 slope says the scenery isn't handing out pars. We'd make the extra drive as part of a High Hampton stay; we wouldn't pretend it is a value play.
