Lil' Mole Run isn't trying to be a country-club experience. It's 18 holes on Lookout Mountain with a range, food, carts and somewhere to camp when you're done. That's basically a ready-made boys' weekend if your standards are "golf, grill something, sit around afterward and don't spend resort money."

And yes: no alcohol is served, so plan accordingly and follow the property's rules.

Our call: one of the weirdest---in a good way---rounds in the first batch. This place has personality.
