Trillium is a good reminder that mountain golf doesn't need 7,200 yards to bite. The third-party card is only around 6,440, but a 142 slope says the trees, bunkers and greens may have a little more to say than the yardage does. Pick the right tee and this looks like a fun member-guest round; pick the ego tee and the mountain may start collecting doubles. The review sample is too small for big claims about pace or conditioning, but the design, practice support and lake-club setting make the invitation worth taking.

- Trillium Links is the canonical 18-hole course at Trillium Links & Lake Club. The official site identifies former PGA Tour player Morris Hatalsky as the designer.
- The club lists six tee sets, bentgrass greens and fairways, tree-lined landing areas, strategic bunkering, golf instruction, clinics, a golf shop and locker facilities.
- 18Birdies lists 6,440 yards with a 71.6 rating and 142 slope. Treat those figures as current third-party data pending confirmation from the club's current card.
